So this weekend is the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and my local area is getting ready for the biggest street party EVER. Apparently it’s going to be amazing, with lots of local small creative businesses involved in dressing Wilton Way in Hackney as different decades from the last sixty years. There’ll be a huge tea party, plenty of fizz and lots of entertainment and dancing in the streets. We however, are escaping the madness and taking full advantage of the long weekend to celebrate Liz’s big day in some beautiful countryside with a big group of friends and their children. Wherever you are you might need a Jubilee tea towel (tenuous link I know), but if you’re going to buy anything to commemorate the Jubilee it might as well be something useful and/or amusing.
So… here are my top three Diamond Jubilee tea towels! From the top: Our Liz is a Diamond, notonthehighstreet.com, Throne Hugger by Joe Savage, Big Cartel, I heart Liz, notonthehighstreet.com.
Whatever you’re doing this weekend (hopefully not the washing up) have a fabulous and fun time! x
