Print Club London

Print Club London aims to revive water based screen printing by offering artists the facilities to screen print in the Print Club’s studio in East London. On Friday evening I visited Print Club’s ‘Secret Blisters’ show where 35 artists showed their prints, which were for sale for £35 each. The prints were given a number so that you couldn’t tell which artist had created which print, the idea being that you only bought the ones you loved rather than buying the work of a well known artist for the name’s sake.

Apart from the brilliant prints on show, I loved the building Print London used for the show, a huge warehouse space in Dalston which is home to Castle Gibson, furniture dealers who also created the set for TV’s ‘Dragon’s Den’. Castle Gibson sponsor Print London and specialise in salvaged and reclaimed 20th century and industrial furniture, providing a great backdrop for the Print London show..
